Iran: inhumane torture leads to two prisoners committing suicide

Inhumane treatment and cruel punishments

Amputation, flogging, torture and humiliation

On Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18 two young Baluchis committed suicide after enduring medieval tortures in Zahedan Central Prison in southeast Iran.

Mehrdad Karazehi, 32, was under torture and endured inhumane conditions in the quarantine ward for 3 months until he ended his life on Friday, July 17 in order to not succumb to the demands raised by Iranian regime henchmen.

Another prisoner by the name of Mohammad Narouie, 19, committed suicide on Saturday, July 18th, on the day of Eid al-Fitr celebrations marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. He, too, had endured unspeakable pressures. Security authorities had him transferred to a hospital outside of the prison in order to increase his tortures. It is worth noting that there are prisoners who have been held under vicious torture for months in the Zahedan Central Prison quarantine ward solitary confinement. These sections are controlled by the regime’s notorious Ministry of Intelligence. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – July 19, 2015
