Baha’i Student Activist Moshfegh Samandari Released in Babol

Student activist Moshfegh Samandari who was arrested on 1 May 2010 to start serving his 6-month prison term, was released from Babol prison before the due date.

According to RAHANA, a court in the city of Babol had sentenced Moshfegh Samandari to 6 months in prison on charge of “spreading Baha’ism”. Previously in May 2009, he had spent 75 days in Babol prison, so his previous detention period has been deducted from the current sentence, resulting in his early release.

Currently another student activist of Babol called Nima Nahvi is still confined.
